Year: 2006

Løvåsen Sykehjem, Bergen, Norway.

The Norwegian elderly home is
a symmetric building with two major sections. The neon installation is consideredto be both a wall decoration and a navigation
system. Leaving the elevator
you will be viewing a constantly changing pattern and simultan-eously being able to identify
floor you find yourself.
Inspired by the idea of natural ornaments – structures that have been shaped by their condition
of life – the pattern replaces the dynamic process of growing
and melting ice crystals. |
