'Myriad', 4 x 4 meter
Optical fibre
 The sacred room at Halden
State Prison is a spiritual space facilitating silence, prayer and reflextion. Being a frame for ritual ceremonies of all kinds the space will embrace both believers and non-believers.
MYRIADE consists of a perforated wooden wall with fiberoptic bright spot in a ornamentic form. The Fiber optics can be programmed to switch coulor and intensity in fast or slow intervals. A centemplative relation is established between the outside nature and the light from 'Myriade' The motif is flexible, universal and thus creates an obtimal use of the room in relation to its multiple users. |
